Bursaries/Awards
• Bursary with www.artqualifications.co.uk ArtyBird City and Guilds and Morley College 2007 to gain internationally recognised qualification as an Artist in Residence
• 2008 Awarded bursary from Dada-South and the Arts Council to document the Liverpool Dada Fest Disability Arts and also to research Lake District’s peat bogs.
Residencies and Arts Projects undertaken
• Jan 2009 Feature for Parrots Magazine, report based on studies made at Tropical Birdland, Leicestershire.
• July 2008 Research and studies undertaken at Evol, Pyrenees Orientales, France, of the endangered Catalan Donkey.
• April 2007 Residency with Association Couleur Décor, Vernet-les-Bains, France. Included direct observation and studies of the light at Collioure and held workshops on the Fauves and Cezanne.
• June 2007 Residency with WDCS, Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, Moray Firth, Scotland. The Artist made a 6 by 4 foot oil painting on marine plywood depicting the cetaceans found in the vicinity and donated the work and image reproduction rights to the charity.

• 2000-3 Taught workshops in acrylics, watercolours, printmaking and oils for local artists and residents.

Currently developing projects with community and environmental organisations on subjects including solar energy, flood defence, peat bogs and endangered species.

Marisa Rehana Mann is an environmental and wildlife artist whose work has evolved from the strands of coming from and living in a number of different countries and also the number of subjects studied and experiences over her life so far. These have led to artwork that is expressing ideas and concepts in a unique way.
Marisa has a particular interest in wildlife, conservation and sustainable development. These passions, together with her eastern heritage and extensive travels, have been reflected in her arts projects and the residencies undertaken.
